With the belief that our youth are our most valued possession The Courts is a way to show the best and brightest youth artist and thinkers in the Bay Area. Beginning in 2002 The Courts is now in it's 4th year at the annual Malcolm X Jazz Arts Festival which is now in it's 6th year. Held in the tennis court of San Antonio park, The Courts offers a large performance stage, vendors, and a dance floor for breakers and freestyle dancers.
The core artist of The Courts are the youth programs of Eastside Arts Alliance: Performance Workshop, Visual Element, Beats Flows and Videos, and BRAVE video production team. Each program brings a unique artistry to The Courts.

- Visual Element lines the gates of the tennis courts with the tightest graffiti political banners
- Beats Flows and Videos brings the fiercest MC's
- B.R.A.V.E documents it all with their video production team
In addition to ESAA youth programs other special guest have been, Diamond Dance Company, Naru Kwina's Hip Scinece, Pitch Black Gold, Ise Lyfe, Dimensions Extensions, Prescott Clowns, Dr. Joker Child, Zulu Gremlin, Mis. Little, Hei Gu Drummers, Swan Grey, Sista's Wit Style and the Local 1200 DJ's.
Known as one of the best Festivals in Bay Area The Courts is an event that Bay Area youth anticipate and love! There is nothing else like it in the Bay Area.
